Promise Land Orphanage
Promise  Land Orphanage is a ministry based in the mountains of Pereira, Columbia. Our children's
home was officially  established as a foundation in 1999 and provides refuge to orphaned, abandoned,  and at-risk children from all around central Columbia, including guerrilla controlled restriced  access zones. Most of our children were rescued from the street, victims of drug  abuse and prostitution. For about two decades we have
been working with the  street children in various ways. It is marvelous to see the smile on a child's  face when he or she comes into the home for the first time knowing they will no  longer be used as a mule to carry drugs or be used as a sex slave.
We are  teaching our children to love and forgive their parents and the people who hurt  them, this attitude will impact our country for good; it will reduce the  violence. Everytime we rescue a boy or a girl it is one less delinquent and one  less prostitute that would be on the streets.
We are a non-profit organization  which recieves no government support, however, we do receive support in the form  of donations from various people. The children receive food, shelter, and an  education at local schools, but most importantly they receive the love and sense  of a family. Raising so many children is a cost and endevour, especially since  many expenses are nearly as expensive as in the United States.
Any contributions  will be directy used to improve the standard of living for our children.
